About Lodestar
Lodestar is a student-written musical by Katie Pieschala (’23). Taking place during a single night in Bodie, California (a gold-mining boomtown) in 1880, the story follows the struggles and desires of three distinct characters: Maggie, an independent and stubborn young Paiute woman who moved to Bodie for work; Rosa May, the charismatic star of Bodie’s red-light district; and Liu Wo, a shop clerk in Chinatown who yearns to run away to San Francisco.
About Ram’s Head
Founded in 1911, Ram’s Head Theatrical Society is Stanford’s oldest and largest theatrical organization. Each year the group provides acting, directing, designing, and play writing opportunities to over 120 students, and its productions are attended by more than 6,000 people annually. General Information
The pandemic is still here, and we want to prioritize the health and safety of all audience members. We will be opening up Pigott Theater at 2/3 capacity to provide for distanced seating for individuals and groups.
Only Stanford affiliates will be allowed, and we’d like to request your Stanford ID and proof of vaccination at gates.
Patrons must not attend the production if they:
- Are demonstrating COVID-19 symptoms
- Are running a fever (99.5+)
- Have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days
- Have had close contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or is suspected of having COVD-19
Masking Policy
We ask you to stay masked for the entirety of your visit at the theater. This include outside near the box office, entering and exiting the building, and inside the building during the show. Audience members should bring their own face masks that cover their nose and mouth and must wear them at all times. Masks with valves will not be allowed.
